The National Waterway Transportation Agency (Antaq) in Brazil announced in the early evening of Tuesday, September 19, that it needs more time to analyze the documents submitted by the newly created MMS Empreendimentos Ltda, the winner of the temporary lease auction for the Port of Itajaí. The publication of the document review results and whether or not the winning firm is eligible was initially slated for this Tuesday, September 19, but has been pushed out to early October.
The President of the Permanent Commission for Port Leasing Bids (CPLA), Patrícia Póvoa Gravina, announced the need for an extension of the deadline at around 7:00 PM in Brasília.
In the document, Patrícia stated that the analysis will continue until October 2. The opening of the appeals period has also changed, moving from September 20 to October 3.
