The UK Export Finance (UKEF), the UK’s export credit agency, and the Brazilian aviation company Embraer announced on Thursday (16) the completion of an agreement to provide additional credit to the company’s customers. The support is tied to the volume of imports of British materials and components by Embraer and includes collaboration mechanisms that can increase the amounts of credit available.
The partnership will support over 120 UK suppliers and Embraer’s annual spending on British content, which totals approximately $60 million. This is the second partnership between Embraer and UKEF in a year. In 2022, another operation of $100 million was announced with the aim of financing purchases of British supplies by the company.
“This is another victory for the UK aerospace sector. We have world-class suppliers who will now have priority to provide their products to one of the largest aircraft manufacturers in the world,” said Malcolm Offord, UK Minister for Exports, in a statement.
