Brazil’s Anec reduces weekly grain forecast by 4.8%

Brazil’s corn exports are expected to reach 7.9 million tonnes, according to estimates released on Tuesday (21/11) by the National Association of Cereal Exporters (Anec), which revises its projections weekly. The volume is 4.8% lower than the previous week’s forecast.
Despite this, shipments are expected to grow significantly compared to November 2022, when the country exported 5.4 million tonnes.
As for soybeans, the weekly shipments projection dropped by 3.9% to 4.9 million tonnes, representing a 157.8% increase in the year-on-year comparison.
Regarding soybean meal, Anec predicts exports of 2.4 million tonnes, an 8.3% decrease compared to the estimate released seven days ago. However, year-on-year, there is a 69.2% increase.
Finally, Anec forecasts the shipment of 142,000 tonnes for wheat exports this month. In 2022, there were shipments of around 116.8 thousand tonnes.
