The tanker “Fair World,” which docked this week at the external berth of Cattalini Maritime Terminal, represents a landmark for the company. For the first time in its history, the terminal will receive 72,000 m³ of diesel oil in a single operation, exceeding an average of 50,000 m³ from previous operations with similar-sized vessels.

Stretching 228.19 meters in length, the “Fair World” occupied the entire length of the private pier, specifically designed to accommodate vessels of this size and with the capacity to handle such product volumes.

“The investments in dredging, safety, and monitoring, coupled with highly trained teams, qualify the terminal and our pier to receive ships up to 229 meters in length, requiring a draft of 12.8 meters at the external berth of the Cattalini Pier,” commented Lucas Guzen, senior commercial manager.

The estimated duration of the unloading is around 50 uninterrupted hours, utilizing exclusively three pipelines for the import—a situation uncommon in the day-to-day operations of the terminal.

“Normally, we allocate two lines for liquid bulk loading and unloading operations, with optimized and quality service. However, to enhance and expedite this import, we decided to make three lines available, within joint planning between the ship and our operation,” explained Bruno Marcel Santos, logistics manager.

The cargo will fill 15 tanks at Tanking Area 3 (CT3) and be transported via road and rail, following the schedule set by the clients responsible for the imported product.

The imported diesel oil through Cattalini’s terminal is part of the range of products in the Clear Petroleum Derivatives segment, alongside gasoline.
