Brazil to export 512 thousand tons of wheat in December
Dec, 29, 2023 Posted by Gabriel MalheirosWeek 202347
The export of wheat from Brazil is projected to reach 512.3 thousand tons in December, according to the National Association of Grain Exporters (Anec). If the projection holds true, Brazil’s wheat exports would still fall short of the 689 thousand tons recorded in the same month last year.
For 2023, Anec anticipates wheat shipments of 2.5 million tons from Brazil, compared to 3.2 million tons in 2022. The association has not significantly changed its weekly export forecasts for other products.
Corn exports were estimated at 6.96 million tons this month, down from 7.17 million tons the previous week. Meanwhile, soybean meal exports from Brazil are expected to reach 2.05 million tons in December, remaining largely stable compared to the last week. Brazil’s soybean exports were forecasted at 3.48 million tons in December, slightly lower than the 3.50 million tons predicted the week before.
