Brazilian Revenue Seizes 22.5 Kilos of Cocaine at Port of Paranaguá

The Brazilian Federal Revenue seized 22.5 kilograms of cocaine in a container destined for Spain on Tuesday morning (9) at Paranaguá Port. The illicit substance was discovered in the engine compartment of a reefer container carrying a shipment of beef intended for the port of Las Palmas in Spain.

This marks the first drug seizure by the agency’s personnel in 2024. In the previous year, the Federal Revenue thwarted drug trafficking attempts, preventing the movement of approximately 1.8 tons of cocaine in 21 seizures conducted at the Paranaguá port complex.
