Truck with raised open-box bed collides with conveyor belt at Port of Santos

A dump truck collided with an overhead conveyor crossing Eduardo Guinle Avenue in Paquetá, on the right bank of the Port of Santos, on the coast of São Paulo. The accident occurred on the evening of last Tuesday (13th) around 10:20 p.m. Fortunately, no one was injured.
According to the Port Authority of Santos (APS), the truck was empty and its open-box bed was raised when it struck the conveyor belt owned by the company Hidrovias do Brasil. The collision damaged the equipment, which was subsequently shut down.
Avenida Eduardo Guinle was closed off between Avenida Álvaro Fontes and Rua Conde D’eu to remove the vehicle and repair the conveyor belt. The APS stated that the avenue would be reopened for circulation after the equipment was stabilized.
