Focusing on the universe of internal logistics 4.0 or intralogistics 4.0, INTERLINK Exhibitions and the IMAM Group announce the launch of INTRA-LOG Expo South America – International Intralogistics and Automation Fair and Forum , a b2b event created with the aim of bringing companies together one of the most modern solutions ever developed for managing the flow of materials, information and resources within an organization. INTRA-LOG Expo South America is scheduled to be held from September 3 to 5, 2024, at Expo Center Norte, in São Paulo.
The logistics sector continues to be the protagonist of one of the most dizzying growth in recent times. A survey carried out by Transparency Market Research indicates that the global logistics market will be worth R$15.5 trillion in 2023 with the movement of more than 92 billion tons of materials, with a strong emphasis on the impact of global e-commerce on transacted volumes.
Research carried out over the last 10 years by IMAM Consultoria shows that around 25% of operational costs in supply chains go through intralogistics. 100% automated operations with autonomous and/or hybrid systems are already present in many companies in Brazil, generally large and medium-sized ones, but they are also beginning to gain ground in medium-sized and small ones through more economically viable initiatives, such as technological kaizens, among others.
With this reality in place, the organization of internal logistics flow gained a strategic role with the accelerated expansion of e-commerce and the multiplication of types of distribution channels. The explosion of online sales associated with the need to diversify and modernize inventory management has made it increasingly strategic for companies to structure processes and be able to count on the support of more assertive technology solutions from the point of view of predictability and control of resources and processes. . It is in this context that INTRA-LOG Expo South America was born .
“We, at INTERLINK Exhibitions, are very happy and excited about this great alliance with the IMAM Group, to together create the main and most complete fair in the intralogistics and automation sector in the country. The numbers in this sector are impressive and the timing could not be more opportune”, comments the Managing Director of INTERLINK Exhibitions, Cassiano Facchinetti.
The Managing Partner of INTERLINK Exhibitions, Joris van Wijk, who dedicated part of his career to developing major events for important segments of the economy, highlighted: “After years in charge of traditional events for the logistics and cargo transport sector, we have the certainty that the intralogistics and automation sector needs an exclusive, strong event focused on new technologies. This is the mission of INTRA-LOG Expo South America!”
Exhibition, forum and networking
The objective of the organizers of INTRA-LOG Expo South America is to bring together national and international exhibitors to demonstrate the newest technologies and innovative solutions in use around the world for the challenges of internal logistics 4.0, which includes all aspects of handling, movement, storage and packaging of materials, in addition to advanced technologies, such as sophisticated software , robotics, integrated systems, among others, for the entire supply chain.
These technologies enable the improvement of the management of production and storage operations, the integration between the company’s various departments and the digital flow of information, the development and implementation of specific software , as well as solutions to optimize the dynamics of storage processes, considering layout and management, automation of internal transport to speed up cargo processing, the adoption of collaborative robotics, among other steps.
The event will bring together buyers, specifiers and influencers, from a wide variety of sectors, from the manufacturing industry to e-commerce and retail, bringing together professionals interested in making their operations more efficient, reducing costs and gaining scale.
The founder of the IMAM Group and now advisor to INTRA-LOG Expo, Reinaldo A. Moura, highlights: “Time passes, but the demand for updates, technical content and professional relationships remains stronger than ever. Visitors, industry professionals, have always been and continue to be the main focus of our efforts and exhibitors are the protagonists of this show! INTRA-LOG Expo South America will, in a short space of time, be the new national and international reference for intralogistics and automation events in Latin America.”
“Intralogistics and automation solutions are made much easier when integrated and we can count on this as we see all the equipment that will be present at INTRA-LOG Expo”, he adds.
The director of the IMAM Group and INTRA-LOG Expo ambassador, Eduardo Banzato, commented: “Several operations in Brazil and Latin America, as well as professionals in the sector, are already international references, but we need to democratize these best practices and references. Over the last four decades, knowing hundreds of companies in Brazil and comparing them with operations and solutions on five continents, the great potential for investment in intralogistics and automation in Brazil and Latin America is evident.”
Banzato ends by highlighting: “Let’s move forward, prepare for the new window of opportunities that will open in the coming years and know that several companies have already taken the lead!”
