Brazilian Market: Poultry Meat Exports Outshine February Numbers

According to recent data from the Foreign Trade Secretariat (Secex) of the Federal Government, released on April 4th, exports of poultry meat and its edible offal, whether fresh, refrigerated, or frozen, during the fifth week of March surpassed the figures recorded in February of this year.
The revenue generated by poultry meat exports up to this point in the month amounted to $688,684,354, representing 67.41% of the total collected throughout March 2023, which stood at $901,250,770. Regarding the volume shipped, the 391,278.614 tons accounted for 80.86% of the total recorded in March of last year, equivalent to 483,886.424 tons.
In comparison to February, the revenue of $688,684,354 in March reflects a 7.71% increase over the $639,345,851 collected in February of this year. Meanwhile, the volume shipped by the end of March, totaling 391,278.614 tons, exceeded that of February by 6.1%, when 368,654.796 tons were exported.

The average daily revenue for this month amounted to $34,434,217, marking a 23.6% decrease compared to March 2023. Similarly, when compared to the previous week, there was a decline of 1.76% from the $35,053,907 recorded last week.
Regarding the tons per average day metric, the current figure stands at 19,563.930, representing a 19.1% decrease from the same period in 2023. In comparison to the previous week, there was a slight decrease of 0.34% from the 19,631.090 tons shipped.
The price paid per ton, amounting to $1,760.086, indicates a 5.5% decrease compared to March of last year. Similarly, when compared to the previous week, there was a modest decline of 1.43% from the $1,785.632 recorded last week.
