Uruguay’s Exports Dip Nearly 14% in March, Pulp Sales Buck the Trend

Uruguayan exports fell by nearly 14% in March compared to the same month last year.
According to the Uruguay XXI Institute, export requests reached $893 million in the third month of the year, including data from Free Zones.
Taking into account the first quarter, foreign sales totaled over $2.7 billion, representing a comparative drop of 2%.
Regarding the main exported products, pulp stands out with almost 10% more than in March 2023.

As for destinations, Brazil continues to lead the placements with 21% of Uruguayan products abroad.
China ranked second with 12% of the total exports, and the United States came in third place with 8% of sales.
