Brazil Minister of Agriculture Carlos Fávaro announced that the opening of the Chinese market to Brazilian fresh grapes, sorghum, pecans, and sesame is a priority in upcoming bilateral negotiations. These discussions will take place during the China-Brazil High-Level Coordination and Cooperation Commission (Cosban) meeting on June 5 and 6 in Beijing.
“Our expectation is to continue expanding trade relations with China. The phytosanitary process for fresh grapes is ready, and we hope to formalize the market opening,” Fávaro stated.
Minister Fávaro will travel to China to participate in the Cosban meetings. He highlighted the significance of Brazil’s current diplomatic momentum: “The positive phase in Brazil’s diplomatic relations is translating into expanded market opportunities.”
