The Ministry of Agriculture announced on Wednesday (4/06) that Colombia has granted sanitary authorization for the import of coconut seeds from Brazil.
This marks the fifth market opening in Colombia within a year, following previous authorizations for Brazilian exports of hydrolyzed chicken protein, oils and fats of pork origin, fish meal, and fish oil.
In 2023, Colombia imported over US$1.37 billion in agricultural products from Brazil, according to ministry data.
With the recent announcement, Brazilian agriculture has achieved its 62nd market opening this year, the ministry added.
