Anec raises soybean export estimate to 15.97 million tonnes in June

Brazil’s National Association of Cereal Exporters (Anec) has raised its estimate for Brazilian soybean exports in June to a volume between 13.8 million and 15.966 million tonnes. Last week, the estimated range was between 12.9 million and 14.656 million tonnes. In June last year, 13.836 million tonnes of soybeans were shipped.
The chart below shows the export volume of soybeans from Brazil, measured in tonnes, between January 2021 and April 2024. The data comes from DataLiner.

For soy meal, the estimate increased from 2.375 million to 2.589 million tonnes. In June 2023, exports of soymeal totaled 2.204 million tonnes. Corn shipments are now projected to reach 1.021 million tonnes, compared to a previous estimate of 1.242 million tonnes. A year earlier, 1.23 million tonnes of corn were shipped.
Between June 9th and 15th, Brazil exported 3.723 million tonnes of soybeans, 584,252 tonnes of soybean meal, and 147,176 tonnes of corn. For the period from June 16th to 22nd, shipments are expected to be 3.729 million tonnes of soybeans, 641,804 tonnes of soybean meal, and 292,335 tonnes of corn.
