Chicken meat exports in first half of June reach 50% of last year’s total
Jun, 19, 2024 Posted by Gabriel MalheirosWeek 202425
From June 1 to 15, Brazil exported 210,538 tonnes of fresh poultry meat, accounting for 50.25% of the total exported in the same period last year. This suggests that if the current pace continues, total exports for June could see a slight increase of around half a percent compared to June 2023, despite having one less business day this year. The daily average of shipments so far is 21,054 tonnes, which is 5.5% higher than the same period last year.
Compared to May, there is also an increase of just over 4% in the daily average. However, given that May had two more working days, the total shipments for June are expected to be slightly lower than the nearly 425,000 tonnes recorded in May.

The average price per ton for the first half of June, at $1,777.53, shows a slight recovery compared to the previous week and the average of the previous month. However, it remains more than 10% below the price achieved in June 2023.
