Ecuador to purchase oils and fats for animal feed production from Brazil

The Brazilian government has welcomed the announcement from Ecuador’s health authority permitting Brazil to export poultry and ruminant oils and fats for use in animal feed.
In the first five months of this year, Ecuador imported over US$140 million worth of agricultural products from Brazil, with forestry products, cereals, and meals accounting for about 50% of the total exports.
This announcement marks Brazil’s 77th market opening in 2024, bringing the total to 155 new markets in 53 countries since the beginning of 2023.
