The Brazilian government warmly embraced Cuba’s decision to allow the export of gelatin and collagen, eggs and their derivatives, and farmed or extractive fish.

Such achievements contribute to increasing the trade flow between the two countries. Last year, the exports of farming goods from Brazil to Cuba exceeded USD 195 million.

Furthermore, on the other side of the globe, the Brazilian government received the sanitary authorization required to export shrimp and shrimp meat to Australia.

In February of this year, Australia opened the way for imports of Brazilian fish.

In the first five months of 2024, agricultural product exports to the Australian market exceeded US$111 million.

With these recent announcements, Brazil gained access to 82 new markets in 2024, totaling 160 openings in 54 countries since the beginning of 2023.
