Stolthaven will operate green ammonia terminal
Jul, 18, 2024 Posted by Gabriel MalheirosWeek 202429
Stolthaven Terminals, which operates liquid bulk at the Port of Santos in cooperation with Global Energy Storage (GES), has been selected, following a bidding process, as the “potential operator” to plan, design, construct and operate a green ammonia terminal at the Complexo Industrial e Portuário do Pecém (CIPP), in Ceará.
The development of a green ammonia terminal in Pecém will support the production of green hydrogen and the export of this production through green ammonia, enabling markets to access one of the most competitive sources of renewable energy on a global scale.
In 2023, Stolthaven and GES entered into a partnership to develop and operate a green hydrogen export terminal and its derivatives.
