
Hapag-Lloyd Announces General Rate Increase Effective September 1

Effective September 1, 2024, a General Rate Increase (GRI) will be implemented for cargo transported in Dry and Reefer containers from Latin America East Coast ports to North America, Central America, and the Caribbean. The increase, set at USD 1,500 per container, will remain in effect until further notice.
Geographical Scope:
- From: Latin America East Coast ports, including Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, and Paraguay.
- To: North America (United States, Canada, Mexico), Central America, and the Caribbean.
This rate adjustment was announced by Hapag-Lloyd on July 16, 2024.
