Brazilian authorities received with satisfaction the announcement that the European Union has decided in favor of live horse exports from the South American nation.

The European Union is the second-largest destination for Brazilian farming commodities. In the first half of this year, Brazilian farming exports to the EU totaled US$11.05 billion.

With this decision, Brazilian agribusiness has gained access to its 90th new market this year, totaling 168 openings in 56 different countries since the beginning of 2023.

These results bear witness to the joint effort conducted by the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (Mapa) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MRE).
