Brazil investigates dumping practices in exports of coated flat steel products from China

The Brazilian federal government initiated an investigation on Monday (2nd) into allegations of dumping in exports of coated flat steel products from China and the resulting harm to the domestic industry caused by such practices.

The decision was published in a circular by the Ministry of Development, Industry, Trade, and Services (MDIC) in the Official Gazette (DOU).

In the Mercosur Common Nomenclature (NCM), the products are classified under the following codes: 7210.30.10, 7210.30.90, 7210.49.10, 7210.49.90, 7210.61.00, 7210.69.11, 7210.69.19, 7210.69.90, 7212.20.10, and 7212.20.90, 7212.30.

“The analysis of dumping evidence considered the period from January to December 2023,” stated the ministry. “The damage assessment period covered January 2019 to December 2023.”
