Starting October 2, Norcoast, a Brazilian coastal shipping company will expand its cargo transport operations along Brazil’s coast by adding the Port of Itajaí on the North Coast of Santa Catarina to its routes.

“Our new call at Itajaí not only broadens Norcoast’s operations but also enhances logistical competitiveness, especially for Santa Catarina and parts of Rio Grande do Sul, thus boosting Brazilian economic development,” said Gustavo Paschoa, CEO of Norcoast.

The company currently operates from North to South across Brazil, covering five ports: Paranaguá (PR), Santos (SP), Suape (PE), Pecém (CE), and Manaus (AM). Norcoast offers integrated logistics with a door-to-door service that delivers cargo directly to the customer’s location.

Company Operating in Southern Brazil Since February

In addition to its expansion at the Port of Itajaí, the company has already made an impact on logistics in Southern Brazil with weekly calls at the Port of Paranaguá since it began operations in February this year. To date, 80 clients have been served at this location.

Norcoast transports various products, including refrigerated cargo for protein producers, white goods, construction materials, packaging, and timber.

“We are very pleased with the start of the partnership between Norcoast and JBS Terminais, as we recognize the potential of coastal shipping in Brazil,” said Aristides Júnior, CEO of JBS Terminais.

According to the company, this expansion is expected to provide greater reach and business opportunities for its clients. All ships will feature a 100% Brazilian flag and crew.

“By simplifying coastal transport with digital solutions and end-to-end logistics, we aim to offer efficient and cost-effective solutions, providing flexibility and adaptability to the market,” added Paschoa.
