Brazil Beef Exports Set to Match Last September’s Figures in Half the Time

According to data from the Federal Government’s Secretariat of Foreign Trade (Secex), released on Monday (23), exports of fresh, chilled, or frozen beef accelerated through the third week of September (15 business days) and are on track to match last year’s results for the same month.
Revenue from beef exports so far this month, totaling $830.673 million, represents 93.86% of the total earned in all of September 2023, which reached $884.925 million. In terms of volume, the 185,486.734 tonnes shipped account for 95.09% of last September’s total of 195,048.261 tonnes.

Average daily revenue up to this point in the month reached $55.378 million, a 25.2% increase compared to September 2023. However, compared to the previous week, there was a 10.53% drop from the $61.900 million recorded last week.
In terms of daily average tonnage, the figure stood at 12,365.782 tonnes, marking a 26.8% increase compared to the same period in 2023. When compared to the previous week’s result, there was an 11.15% decrease from the 13,918.527 tonnes recorded last week.
The price per tonne, at $4,478.346, is 1.3% lower than the price recorded in September last year. Compared to the previous week’s figure, there was a slight increase of 0.69% over the $4,447.368 recorded the week prior.
