Singapore opens market for export of live lobsters from Brazil
Nov, 07, 2024 Posted by Gabriel MalheirosWeek 202444
The Brazilian government welcomed Singapore’s recent approval allowing Brazil to export live lobsters to the country.
This approval follows Singapore’s opening of its market in February this year to Brazilian lamb and sheep meat, as well as beef extract products. During the first nine months of 2024 alone, Singapore imported roughly USD 540 million in agricultural products from Brazil.
With this new authorization, Brazilian agribusiness has marked its 195th market entry this year, totaling 273 openings across 61 destinations since the start of 2023.
These achievements are the result of collaborative efforts between the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (Mapa) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MRE).
