The Brazilian government welcomed the announcement by Bolivia’s government granting sanitary approval for Brazil to export hemoderivatives, hemoglobin, and plasma from cattle and pigs to Bolivia.

These animal recycling products with high nutritional value are used in the animal feed industry.
This marks Bolivia’s second market opening in less than a year. In December 2023, Brazil successfully accessed the Bolivian market to export fertile eggs.

Since the beginning of the year, Brazil’s agricultural exports to Bolivia have reached approximately US$ 300 million, with forest products being the main highlight.

With this new authorization, Brazil’s agribusiness has achieved its 198th market opening this year, bringing the total to 276 market openings across 61 destinations since the beginning of 2023.
These results are the product of joint efforts between the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (MAPA) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MRE).
