The Brazilian government welcomed Bosnia and Herzegovina’s announcement authorizing the import of Brazilian poultry meat, marking a significant step in strengthening trade ties between the two nations.
This new market access underscores international confidence in Brazil’s robust sanitary control system, which consistently meets global standards.
Between January and October 2024, Brazilian poultry exports to Bosnia and Herzegovina totaled $8.17 billion, equivalent to 4.38 million tonnes. As the world’s third-largest poultry producer and its leading exporter, Brazil supplies this essential protein to approximately 170 countries, contributing significantly to global food and nutritional security.
This latest authorization marks the 204th new market opened to Brazilian agribusiness this year, bringing the total to 282 new trade opportunities across 62 destinations since the start of 2023.
