Port company Marimex and Recicla Mundo Institute became new members of the initiative
On Tuesday, October 10, two new organizations became part of the ESG Manifesto initiative during a regular meeting hosted by the Santos Port Authority (SPA). The port company Marimex joined as a signatory, while the Recicla Mundo Institute became a supporter. The signing ceremony, a testament to the movement’s collaborative spirit, was attended by the APS Operations Director, Beto Mendes, Marimex representative Fernando Moreira Salvador, and Recicla Mundo Institute representative Sandra Regina do Nascimento, who signed the agreements.
During the meeting, APS shared a preliminary draft of the ESG Manifesto’s 2025 calendar with participants. The Santos City Government also presented the Report on the Activities of the ODS Santos Movement, which outlined initiatives aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
One of the key highlights of the meeting was the presentation of the Pacto Brasil pela Integridade Empresarial (Brazilian Pact for Business Integrity), delivered by auditor Armando de Nardi Neto, representing the Private Integrity Secretariat of the Federal Comptroller’s Office. The pact seeks to promote a culture of integrity in the private sector and encourage ethical corporate practices.
The ESG Manifesto is an initiative by APS that reaffirms the unwavering commitment of the Port of Santos to a more sustainable and socially responsible future. The document, a symbol of this commitment, has been signed by APS, the regional municipalities, and the companies operating in the port complex.
About the Port Authority of Santos

It oversees logistical planning and infrastructure management for the Port of Santos—the largest port in Latin America—through which approximately 30% of Brazil’s foreign trade passes. Located 70 kilometers from the Greater São Paulo area, the port complex comprises 53 terminals, including 39 leased terminals, eight hinterland terminals, and six private use terminals (TUPs), spread across both banks of the river: one in Santos (right bank) and the other in Guarujá (left bank).
