Dec, 12, 2024 Posted by Gabriel MalheirosWeek 202447
The Brazilian government celebrated Canada’s decision to approve the international sanitary certificate necessary for Brazil to export bird feathers to the Canadian market.
This product has various industrial applications, including the production of pillows, cushions, bedding, and upholstery. It is also used as a raw material for thermal and acoustic insulation products, significantly expanding the market potential for Brazil’s poultry industry.
This development further strengthens trade relations with Canada, which imported over USD 964 million worth of Brazilian agricultural products in the first ten months of 2024.
With this announcement, Brazil’s agribusiness sector has achieved 207 market openings this year, bringing the total to 285 new opportunities across 62 destinations since the beginning of 2023.
These accomplishments result from the collaborative efforts of the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (Mapa) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MRE).
