
Brazil’s Papaya Exports Steady in November, Poised for Record Year in 2024

According to Comex Stat data, the volume of Brazil’s papaya exports remained stable in November 2024, with approximately 4,000 tons shipped abroad. Revenue from these exports also held steady compared to the previous month, totaling just over $5 million FOB (Free on Board).
Annual Growth and Record Performance
While monthly figures show stability, the annual outlook is highly positive. From January to November 2024, Brazil exported 39,000 tons of papaya, a 16% increase compared to the same period in 2023. Revenue for the year reached over $52 million FOB, representing a 9% growth and marking the highest result in Comex Stat’s historical series, which began in 1997.
