DP World, a global logistics and supply chain solutions leader, is set to significantly expand its freight forwarding presence in Brazil over the next two years. The company plans to open six new offices by 2026, emphasizing its commitment to enhancing end-to-end supply chain solutions across Latin America.

Four new offices will be launched in 2025, strategically located in Campinas, Curitiba, Rio de Janeiro, and Porto Alegre. Two additional offices will follow in 2026 in the North and Northeast regions. This expansion is expected to create 150 new jobs, covering sales, operations, and administrative roles, further contributing to economic development.
The expansion will strengthen the company’s ability to deliver end-to-end supply chain solutions, offering services that connect products from the factory floor to the customer’s doorstep. These services include ocean freight for FCL (full container load) and LCL (less-than-container load), air freight, domestic containerized road transportation, international insurance, and customs clearance.

DP World’s freight operations in Brazil are projected to handle approximately 75,000 TEUs annually over the next five years, reflecting the company’s ambition to grow its logistics footprint. This initiative builds on the momentum of recent office openings in Santos, São Paulo, and Itajaí (SC) earlier in 2024, which have already begun reshaping the region’s commercial capabilities.

With a robust global network of ports, terminals, and value-added services, DP World is solidifying its role as a logistics provider dedicated to accelerating customer cargo cycles.
“We are very pleased to announce this expansion of our services in Brazil. This is a strategic addition to our network, which is continuously growing in Brazil and Latin America. Our goal is to make it easier for customers to access a fully integrated logistics platform that supports trade flow in both local and international markets,” said Fábio Siccherino, CEO of DP World in Brazil.

DP World has played a key role in expanding Brazil’s logistics sector, particularly in containerized and bulk cargo availability. The company operates one of the largest private terminals in the country at the Port of Santos, currently handling 1.4 million TEUs per year. An ongoing expansion will increase capacity to 2.1 million TEUs annually, with the first phase delivering 1.7 million TEUs/year by 2026. Additionally, DP World’s partnership with Rumo to develop a new grain and fertilizer terminal is set to boost bulk handling capacity at the port by 12.5 million tons annually.
The expansion in Brazil aligns with DP World’s broader strategy to enhance its global freight forwarding presence. Since mid-2023, the company has launched over 150 freight forwarding offices worldwide, including 20 in the Americas. This network includes operations in Chile, Colombia, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Panama, Peru, and Suriname. Future openings are planned in the United States, Mexico City, and Buenos Aires.
