Jan, 22, 2025 Posted by Denise VileraWeek 202504
The Brazilian government celebrated Colombia’s decision to authorize the export of the ornamental plant species Tillandsia from Brazil.
In 2024, Brazilian agricultural exports to Colombia exceeded USD 863 million, with a strong performance in forestry products and items from the sugar-energy complex.
This new authorization marks the eighth market opening for Brazilian agribusiness in 2025, bringing the total to 308 new business opportunities achieved since early 2023.
This progress results from the joint efforts of the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (Mapa) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MRE), further solidifying Brazil’s position as a global leader in agricultural trade.
