The event will take place in São Paulo and be broadcast online.
The Brazilian Congress of Agribusiness Law, organized by the Brazilian Institute of Agribusiness Law (IBDA), is reaching its fifth edition. It brings together prominent figures from the fields of law, agribusiness, economics, the private sector, and public authorities to discuss legal and regulatory challenges.
This year, topics will range from new credit models to climate issues, including risk management, real estate, and environmental matters.
“These are current issues that need to be well understood given the complexity and rapid changes in both the domestic and global scenarios, so that we can act effectively, ensuring legal security, greater competitiveness, and sustainable development,” said Renato Buranello, president of IBDA.
The opening activities will feature the inaugural lecture on the theme: “Legal Security and the Legal Framework of Agribusiness,” with Minister Ricardo Villas Bôas Cueva of the Superior Court of Justice invited as the speaker.
The opening ceremony will also feature speeches by Minister of Agriculture and Livestock Carlos Fávaro, Senator Tereza Cristina, Federal Deputy Arnaldo Jardim, Vice-President of the Parliamentary Agriculture Front, FGV professor and former minister Roberto Rodrigues, presidents of sector entities, and representatives from the judiciary.
The program is divided into four panels, with strategic topics to be discussed by specialists from each sector.
Panel 1 – Future of the Contractual Network in Agribusiness
Panel 2 – New Rural Credit Model, Risk Management, Insurance, and Capital Markets
Panel 3 – Uses of Rural Real Estate and Its Restrictions
Panel 4 – Climate Change and Regulated Carbon Market
