Market Opening in Suriname
Feb, 07, 2025 Posted by Denise VileraWeek 202506
Sanitary authorities in Suriname have authorized the export of the following Brazilian agricultural products: live cattle for slaughter, live dairy cattle, live cattle for reproduction, beef and beef products, and poultry meat and poultry products.
This decision reflects the high level of international confidence in Brazil’s sanitary control system and is expected to strengthen trade relations with the South American neighbor.
In 2024, Brazil’s agricultural exports to Suriname reached $28.5 million, with growth potential following this new approval.
With this announcement, Brazilian agribusiness has achieved 25 market openings in 2025, bringing the total to 325 new business opportunities since early 2023.
