Brazil Expands Exports to Morocco with Authorization to Ship Bovine Offal

Brazilian agribusiness has achieved another international milestone. The government of Morocco has approved Brazil’s proposal for an International Sanitary Certificate (CSI) authorizing the export of bovine offal to the North African country. In addition, sanitary requirements for the shipment of Brazilian beef have been updated.
According to Brazil’s Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (Mapa), the decision marks an important step in strengthening trade relations between the two countries. It reinforces the credibility of Brazil’s sanitary control system.
With a population of over 37 million, Morocco is considered a strategic market for Brazilian products, with significant growth potential. In 2023, Moroccan meat imports exceeded USD 43 million, ranking Brazil as the country’s second-largest supplier.
So far, in 2024, Brazilian exports to the Moroccan market have totaled approximately USD 1.36 billion. The products shipped include sugar and alcohol, cereals, flours, live animals, and coffee.
