Iran Boosts Exports to Brazil with BRICS Support

Iran’s Minister of Agriculture, Gholamreza Nouri Ghezeljeh, announced that the country will expand exports of caviar, dried nuts, kiwis, pomegranates, and apples to Brazil. The statement was made during a press conference on Iran’s participation in the 15th BRICS Meeting of Agriculture Ministers.
He emphasized that the growth in trade between the two countries has been made possible by close coordination between agricultural authorities, as reported by Mehr News Agency, a TV BRICS partner.
According to the minister, trade among BRICS countries reaches approximately USD 160 billion (BRL 928 billion). Iran accounts for USD 13 billion (BRL 75 billion), while agricultural trade with Brazil amounts to USD 7 billion (BRL 41 billion).
Iran formalized its accession to BRICS in January 2024. Since then, its active involvement in the group has strengthened Tehran’s position, particularly in the agricultural sector.
