Since the beginning of the year, the Port of Itajaí has handled 4.8 million metric tonnes of cargo, an 11% increase compared to the same period in 2024. In April alone, the Itajaí Port Complex registered 1,132,936 tonnes, up 5% year-over-year.

The port currently operates 28 active shipping lines, and starting in May, it will also serve the new Puma Line, operated by Mercosul Line.

In April, the port handled 58,902 containers (including full and empty units), totaling 109,275 TEUs — the standard unit representing 20-foot containers. This marks a 13% increase compared to April 2024.
