Pork exports have already reached 42% of total revenue from May 2024 in just six business days

Brazilian exports of fresh, chilled, or frozen pork continue steadily in May 2025. According to data from the Foreign Trade Secretariat (Secex), released this Monday (May 12), the country has already collected more than 42% of the total revenue recorded in May 2024 within the first six business days of the month. Both revenue and volume shipped showed significant growth compared to last year and last week, indicating a favorable outlook for the sector.

Cumulative revenue surpasses US$ 88.5 million

In the first six business days of May 2025, revenue from pork exports reached US$88,567,887, equivalent to 42.15% of the total collected in the entire month of May 2024, which was US$210,084,646.

Shipped volume exceeds 34 thousand tons.

During the same period, Brazil exported 34,708.033 tons of pork, representing 37.87% of the total volume exported in May 2024, when the country shipped 91,629.342 tons.

Daily revenue rises 47.6% year-over-year

The average daily revenue from exports through the second week of May was US$ 14,761,314, an increase of 47.6% compared to the same period in 2024. Compared to the previous week’s average of US$ 13,831,506, the growth was 6.72%.

Daily export volume also increases

The average daily volume shipped reached 5,784.672 tons, representing a 32.6% increase compared to the same month last year. This was a 4.53% rise from the previous week’s daily average of 5,533.840 tons.

The average price per ton shows annual and weekly gains

The average price paid per exported ton was US$ 2,551.797, reflecting an 11.3% increase compared to May 2024. Compared to the previous week’s average of US$ 2,499.440, the price rose by 2.09%.
