Tax Analysts were involved in the seizure of 63 kg of cocaine at the Port of Salvador on the morning of May 20. The drugs were hidden inside the refrigeration system of a container that was to transport a shipment of lemons from Salvador to Great Britain by sea.
The seizure resulted from intelligence work by the Federal Revenue’s customs division, using analysis techniques and risk management tools.
The seized drugs are valued at approximately BRL 12 million and will be handed over to the competent authority to continue the investigation.
