Pork Exports Rise in Volume and Revenue in May

Brazilian pork exports rose 13.7% in May, reaching 118.7 thousand tonnes, according to data released by the Brazilian Animal Protein Association (ABPA). In the same period last year, the sector exported 104.4 thousand tonnes.
In terms of revenue, pork shipments totaled $291.1 million in May this year, compared to $225.2 million in the same period of 2024 — an increase of 29.3%. Among the main destinations, the Philippines boosted its purchases of Brazilian pork by 115%, importing 28.2 thousand tonnes in May.

For the year to date, Brazilian exports have totaled 584.8 thousand tonnes, up 15.4% compared to the first five months of last year, when 506.6 thousand tonnes were shipped. In revenue, Brazil has already exported $1.381 billion, a 29.8% increase over the same period.
