Israeli Navy Attacks Port of Hodeidah in Yemen, Says Military

The Israeli Navy carried out strikes on Houthi targets at the port of Hodeidah, in the Red Sea, Yemen, this Tuesday (10), according to the Israeli military.
Al Masirah TV, run by the Houthis, reported that Israel conducted two attacks on the docks of Al Hodeidah port. So far, there have been no reports of casualties.
In a statement, the Israeli military claimed that the Houthis use the port to transfer weapons.
The strikes come after Israel requested on Monday (9) the evacuation of the ports of Ras Isa, Hodeidah, and Salif, all controlled by the Houthis.
Since the beginning of the Gaza war in October 2023, the Iran-aligned Houthis have attacked Israel and ships in the Red Sea, disrupting global trade in what they claim is an act of solidarity with the Palestinians.
Most of the dozens of missiles and drones launched toward Israel were intercepted or failed to reach their targets. Israel has carried out a series of retaliatory strikes.
Israel has severely weakened other Iranian allies in the region, such as Lebanon’s Hezbollah and Hamas.
The Houthis, supported by Tehran, and pro-Iranian armed groups in Iraq remain active in the conflict.
