Pork export volumes drop, but Brazil sees 9% rise in price per tonne in July 2025

The volume of fresh, chilled, or frozen pork exported reached 91,700 tonnes by the fourth week of July 2025, according to data released by the Foreign Trade Secretariat (Secex) on Monday (28). In the same period last year, exports totaled 119,200 tonnes over 23 business days in July 2024.

The average daily volume exported in July 2025 so far stands at 4,800 tonnes, representing a 6.8% decline compared to the daily average of 5,100 tonnes recorded in July 2024.

Revenue from pork exports through the fourth week of July 2025 totaled US$241.4 million, compared to US$287.3 million in July 2024.

The average daily revenue for the first four weeks of this month was US$12.7 million, down 1.7% from the US$12.5 million average recorded for the same period last year.

The price per tonne through the fourth week of July 2025 averaged around US$2,630.10, representing a 9.1% increase from the US$2,409.90 per tonne recorded in July 2024.
