Brazil secures three new market openings in Argentina

The Brazilian and Argentine governments have concluded a sanitary agreement allowing Brazil to export powdered eggs for animal feed, raw pork byproducts, and pork offal to Argentina.
The new market openings strengthen trade integration between Brazil and Argentina, the main partners within MERCOSUR. With more than 45 million inhabitants, Argentina has a growing pet food market, with increasing demand for animal nutrition products. For the pork industry, the deal also creates new business opportunities for cuts less consumed in Brazil’s domestic market.
In 2024, Brazil exported over US$1.5 billion in agricultural products to Argentina, with highlights including agroforestry products, cocoa, and coffee.
With this announcement, Brazilian agribusiness has reached 425 new market openings since the beginning of 2023.
These results stem from the joint work of the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (Mapa) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MRE).
