Brazil secures six new market openings in Burkina Faso

The Brazilian government and the government of Burkina Faso have concluded sanitary negotiations allowing Brazil to export live cattle for breeding, bovine genetic material (semen and embryos), as well as fingerlings, fertile eggs, and day-old chicks to that country.
These new market openings in Burkina Faso will enable Brazil to export higher-value-added agricultural products, contributing to improvements in Burkina Faso’s livestock quality, while also offering future opportunities for Brazilian producers, given the continent’s strong demographic expansion and economic growth potential.
With this announcement, Brazilian agribusiness has now secured 434 new market openings since the beginning of 2023, across 72 countries.
These results are the outcome of joint work by the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (Mapa) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MRE).
