SCPar takes over management of Laguna Port under 25-year deal
Sep, 16, 2025 Posted by Lucas LorimerWeek 202539
The Port of Laguna will be administered by SCPar Porto de Imbituba for the next 25 years. Previously, management was under the responsibility of the company’s headquarters in Florianópolis.
The new agreement, signed with the Ministry of Ports and Airports (MPA) and the National Waterway Transport Agency (Antaq), updates the original 2020 arrangement.
According to the MPA, the transfer takes place due to the proximity between the two ports, enabling integration and potential complementarity of activities.
By 2026, a detailed project will be developed to identify the need for dredging and rock removal works, as well as to estimate the costs involved.
