A block of ornamental stone fell during an operation at the Port of Vitória on Wednesday morning (17). A video circulating on social media shows the material already on the ground next to a crane, while workers observe the situation after the incident.
The footage shows the moments after the ornamental stone block came loose from a crane and fell into a ship’s hold during operations at the Port of Vitória on Wednesday morning (17). The impact shattered the piece into several parts. Despite the scare, no one was injured.
In a statement, Vports reported that the case occurred at one of the port’s berths and confirmed that there were no victims. The company responsible for the operation is already investigating the causes of the incident, with oversight from Vports’ operations and safety technical team.
