Santos port ESG manifesto gains two new signatories

The Santos Port Authority (APS) hosted the 15th ordinary meeting of the Santos Port ESG Manifesto this Monday (September 22). At the event, two new entities joined the movement as signatories: the Kondzilla Institute and the startup Data Overseas. With these additions, the Manifesto now has 53 signatories, up from the 22 initial ones when it was launched in August 2023.
The ESG Manifesto is an APS initiative that reaffirms the Port of Santos’ commitment to building a more sustainable and socially conscious world. The document is signed by APS, local municipalities, companies, and institutions operating within the port complex. It aims to address ESG across three pillars—Environment, Social, and Governance—within the port community.
Data Overseas is a startup born out of the winning project at the 2024 ESG Challenge hackathon. The company developed an artificial intelligence tool for monitoring and managing waste in port areas.
The Kondzilla Institute, in turn, is a social organization (OS) founded by the namesake business group, originally a music video producer focused on funk and hip-hop. The institute develops educational programs for young people through social impact initiatives in peripheral communities.
In addition to welcoming the new members, Monday’s meeting also featured a lecture by Childhood Brasil, a civil society organization whose mission is to stimulate, promote, and develop support environments and solutions to prevent and combat violence, abuse, and the sexual exploitation of children and adolescents.
