Petrobras won the concession auction for terminal RDJ07 at the Port of Rio de Janeiro with a bid of R$104 million in concession fees. The minimum bid was set at R$1. The terminal is part of the second block of port assets being auctioned in 2025 by the Ministry of Ports and Airports (MPor) and the National Waterway Transport Agency (Antaq). The auction took place at B3, in São Paulo.
Terminal RDJ07 will be dedicated to handling offshore logistics support cargoes for oil and natural gas exploration and production activities, with estimated investments of R$99.4 million. The concession term is 25 years.
“The Port of Rio is extremely important for Petrobras and was decisive in the development of the pre-salt fields, due to its privileged geographical location, close to major highways and key industrial hubs,” said Fernando Vidal, Petrobras’ General Manager of Port Logistics.
With its offer, Petrobras outbid the consortium Sul Real GMBL 2025A, which placed a minimum bid of R$1 million. The dispute went to the live auction stage, but given the large difference in offers, Sul Real did not make additional bids.
Also auctioned was the Maceió Passenger Maritime Terminal (TMP), located within the Organized Port of Maceió. The winning bid came from the Britto Macelog III consortium, with a concession fee of R$50,000. The group is based in Maceió and faced no competition.
The Maceió Passenger Maritime Terminal is used for passenger operations and foresees investments of R$3.75 million for modernization.
