Port of Ningbo-Zhoushan retains global lead in cargo volumes for 17th year

In 2025, the Port of Ningbo-Zhoushan, located in Zhejiang province in eastern China, handled more than 1.4 billion tonnes of cargo, maintaining its position as the world’s largest port by cargo throughput for the 17th consecutive year.
By the end of 2025, the port operated 309 container services, connecting to more than 700 ports across over 200 countries and regions.
