Brazil exports to China rise 17.4% in January

Brazilian exports to China rose 17.4% in January 2026, totaling $6.47 billion, up from $5.51 billion in January 2025. On the import side, purchases from China fell 4.9% in January, amounting to $5.75 billion, compared with $6.05 billion in the same month last year.

As a result, Brazil posted a $720 million trade surplus with China in the first month of the year. The data were released on Thursday (5) by the Foreign Trade Secretariat of the Ministry of Development, Industry, Trade and Services (Secex/MDIC).
