Brazilian fresh beef exports posted a sharp increase in the first half of February 2026, extending the strong momentum seen at the start of the year.
In the first 10 business days of February, Brazil shipped 136,800 metric tons of fresh beef — including frozen, chilled and fresh cuts — averaging 13,680 tons per day. That marks a 43.7% jump compared with the daily average of 9,520 tons recorded in February 2025, according to trade data compiled by Portal DBO based on figures released Thursday by Brazil’s Foreign Trade Secretariat (Secex).
Export revenue rose even more sharply. Overseas sales totaled $765.4 million in the period, with a daily average of $76.5 million — up 63.1% from the $46.9 million daily average posted in February 2025.
The average export price during the first 10 business days of the month reached $5,594.80 per metric ton, an increase of 13.5% from the February 2025 average of $4,928.20 per ton.
January Sets New Monthly Record
The strong February performance follows a record-breaking January. Brazil exported 231,800 metric tons of fresh beef in January 2026, the highest volume ever recorded for the month and a 28.6% increase compared with January 2025, according to official Secex data.
Export revenues totaled $1.29 billion in January, also a record for the month and a 42.5% year-over-year increase.
The figures underscore continued strong international demand for Brazilian beef, with both volumes and prices trending higher at the start of 2026.
