DP World is officially launching Brazil Africa Link, a new end-to-end logistics corridor designed to connect Brazilian exporters to the African continent with greater efficiency and service integration. The new solution will be presented during Intermodal South America 2026, Latin America’s largest logistics event, taking place from April 14 to 16 in São Paulo.

With routes from Santos to DP World assets in Angola and Mozambique, along with a broader logistics infrastructure in South Africa, the company aims to connect Brazilian exporters to African markets through a more integrated platform. The concept is described as a “one-stop shop,” offering Brazilian exporters less complexity and greater control.

Under the new model, DP World will provide end-to-end services, linking ocean freight to three of the group’s port terminals, 52 warehouses and an owned fleet of more than 4,250 vehicles.

Animal protein, agricultural commodities and consumer goods are the priority segments, served with end-to-end control through a single logistics partner.

“Brazil Africa Link was created to simplify the journey of Brazilian exporters in a market with enormous growth potential. By integrating the entire logistics chain, from the port of origin to delivery at destination, through a single partner, we reduce complexity, increase predictability and open new business opportunities between Brazil and Africa,” said Marcio Medina, commercial vice president of DP World in Brazil.

During the three-day fair, DP World will highlight its three strategic fronts in Brazil. The first is Ports & Terminals, which forms the structural base of its business and its main asset at the Port of Santos, where capacity expansion and modernization are under way. The second is DP World Logistics, its freight forwarding arm, which is expanding its national footprint and consolidating a full portfolio of solutions, including ocean, air and road freight, warehousing, container freight station services, insurance and customs clearance, positioning the company as a logistics integrator. The third is Contract Logistics, which is growing through new multi-client warehouses in São Paulo and Espírito Santo and offering customized B2B solutions integrating warehousing, distribution, reverse logistics and value-added services.

Expansion at the Port of Santos

At the Port of Santos, DP World operates one of Brazil’s largest and most modern private multipurpose terminals. In 2025, the company reached historic milestones, handling 1.3 million TEUs and 5 million tonnes of pulp, reinforcing its strategic position in Brazilian foreign trade.

The company is currently executing an investment cycle of more than 2 billion reais, including quay expansion, the acquisition of new equipment and operational modernization. As part of that plan, it announced an additional investment of 1.6 billion reais, which will raise handling capacity to 1.7 million TEUs by 2026 and to 2.1 million TEUs by 2028.

The first phase of the works includes expanding the quay to 1,290 linear meters, enabling the simultaneous handling of large vessels. The second phase предусматривает a new berth, expansion of the back area and structural improvements aimed at increasing terminal efficiency and competitiveness.

Another recent milestone is the agreement signed with Rumo to build a new terminal dedicated to handling grains and fertilizers, with annual capacity of up to 12.5 million tonnes. The project is expected to consolidate DP World as Brazil’s largest multipurpose port complex, with simultaneous operations in containers, pulp, grains and fertilizers.
